Clear Lake Food Service Department loves Iowa sweet corn!

To ensure that our students get the freshest local sweetcorn, food service staff processed 1,152 cobettes to be served throughout this school year—that is 420 pounds!

A big thank you to Kerns Homegrown of Oelwein and Iowa Food Hub for providing 50 dozen lovely ears of shucked corn.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Specialists provided technical assistance with the process and standard operating procedures.
