2026 Iowa Farm and Food Conference - “Futuring Our Food System”
Join us June 11-12, 2026 in Waterloo, Iowa
Call for Proposals
Individuals, businesses, and organizations across all sectors of the food system are invited to submit proposals to present at this year's conference. Presenters are encouraged to share their work, research, and community initiatives while highlighting innovative approaches that strengthen Iowa's food networks. Collaborative proposals are encouraged and multiple submissions are allowed.
Session options include:
Bite-Sized (15 minutes): briefly share about a successful program, project, or research study within your organization or business.
Breakout (1 hour): discuss a project, initiative, or research while engaging with session participants.
Preview proposal questions prior to submitting.
Proposals are due March 13, 2026.

The 2025 event took place on Friday, June 13, 2025 in Grinnell, Iowa.
This bi-annual event, hosted by ISU Extension and Outreach and the Iowa Farm to School and Early Care Coalition, in partnership with the Iowa Food System Coalition, featured farm tours and local eats, and celebrated Grinnell’s food system partners. This annual event is hosted by the Community Food Systems program and Iowa Farm to School and Early Care Coalition. This year's theme was Rooted in Community: Growing Partnerships for Sustainable Food Systems. This unique, two-day event, celebrated food systems, farm to school and early care, and local food.
