How to Participate
To participate, sites must serve at least 2 items (breakfast, lunch or taste-test) with locally-sourced ingredients. Don’t forget about meat, dairy and eggs! Fluid milk is excluded because all schools already serve milk. Try something new!
Participation can be 1 school or all schools within your district. Early childcare sites and colleges and universities and are also encouraged to participate.
Participating sites will be added to the map (below) within 48 hours.
Iowa Local Food Day Registration
Join other Iowa schools to celebrate farmers and local foods! Your school is signing on to serve at least two local items for breakfast, lunch or snack (excluding fluid milk).
